APPLICATIONS:

  •  Agro-chemicals
  • Ceramics, minerals, etc.
  • Dyestuffs, pigments
  • Inorganic/organic chemicals
  • Waste products - sludge, sediments, etc.

Niro’s modelling and testing abilities coupled with industrial references have helped develop a new generation of Vortex SWIRL FLUIDIZER™ drying systems. They provide a better capacity for continuous processing of the most viscous liquids in one stage at very high drying temperatures.

Niro offers an exclusive range of services for process optimisation, diagnostics, measuring and improved resource use. We supply our customers with high-performance processing systems and application know-how that gives them a clear competitive advantage to produce higher yields, stricter tolerances, reduced costs and better efficiency.

Current environmental restrictions demand a more complex design depending on the type of product, the form of the powder and residual moisture in the final dried product and/or toxicity properties.

Niro has developed and supplied a large number of Vortex SWIRL FLUIDIZER™ drying systems designed to meet the demands of its customers and local authorities. For example:

  • Ecological open-cycle plants equipped with highly effective components that guarantee clean air process emissions
  • Semi-closed plants using combustion gas with low oxygen content as processing air
  • Semi-closed plants with auto-stabilization and incineration of exhaust air
  • A closed-cycle design using nitrogen as the drying gas

PROCESS DESIGN:

  • Uniform feed to the tank equipped with a vertical agitator driven from the bottom, thereby giving the access to the equipment upstream
  • Continuous and speed-controlled feed in the drying chamber
  • Processing air heated for optimum thermal efficiency of the drying process, depending on the heat-sensitivity of the product being treated
  • Tangential inlet air disperser in the drying chamber with vertical rotary disintegrator
  • Drying chamber specifically designed for optimum disintegration and distribution of the feed and a short residence time
  • Conventional evacuation system with Niro bag filters
  • For special applications, Niro SANICIP™ system with integrated cleaning in-place (CIP)
  • Product is evacuated downstream via a Niro rotating valve
  • Programmable logic controller and PC control system and with formulas that guarantee the operation is reproducible
