In 2002, Niro celebrated its 50th anniversary serving the industry as a specialist in milk evaporators and atomizer drying processes.

Created in France in 1952, the company quickly became the undeniable reference in its market sector. During the 1970’s, organic growth was completed by the acquisition of famous names such as Laguilharre in France and Holvrieka and Van der Ploeg in the Netherlands.

In 1991, Niro joined the GEA Group and in 2005 it merged with Kestner and Scami to become GEA Process Engineering France.

GEA Process Engineering France Niro Division is the GEA Group’s Centre of Excellence in Milk Evaporation. Niro designs and supplies all of the milk evaporators the Group delivers around the world.

Niro also designs, builds, assembles and launches operations for all of the equipment in the Niro A/S programme: atomizer dryers, fluid bed dryers, membrane filtration units, extractors, heaters, coolers, etc. made for processing liquids and solids.
