Bochum/Melbourne, December 2009 - The Process Technology Segment of GEA Group has again received an order for a complete milk powder factory. The customer is the leading Australian Dairy Group Burra Foods and the total order is in excess of 23 million EUR. The scope of supply includes engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation and commissioning of the plant. The plant is expected to be completed in August 2010.
Burra Foods is an Australian company and it has since 1987 been owned and managed by the Crothers family. Burra Foods is an international Group which is supplying its dairy products to Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, parts of Middle East and Europe.
