Flash evaporators
If at a given temperature a liquid is submitted to a pressure below its vapour pressure, this liquid will evaporate (flash evaporation). This is basically what happens in the separator of a forced circulation evaporator system. Such units are mostly used for the separation of crystals (salting-out), but can also be used in association with multi effect counter current evaporators.
